Macrame Hanging Vase Tutorial

Macrame is hot right now after so many years in craft exile, have you tried it? Macrame looks more complicated than it actually is – the knots are easy to master and very satisfying to do and what’s great is that you need minimal materials. Once you’ve mastered the basic knots you’ll be able to design your own hanging planters and vases. My mum was into macrame first time round and I remember we had ferns in hanging planters around our home. She also made bags and wall hangings – watch this space, I’ve just found another craft that I’m addicted to!

This white on white hanging vase project is a contemporary spin on the seventies craft. I created an easy to follow tutorial for the Crafttuts+ website, so click through to read the full step by step instructions there.
